The Boston Bluefin Classic is a multi-weigh station tournament held the first week of September. Each participating team consists of 6-8 members competing for the largest bluefin tuna, from Maine to New York. BBC offers opportunities for businesses expanding their reach to offshore tuna anglers in the New England region.
Welcome to bluefin tuna week! Each year the defending champ chooses the location of the kick off party. The first 3 allowable fishing days in September present an opportunity for our competitors to settle the score on the seas, and win lots of money. Once the champion is determined, an award will be presented at their vessel’s homeport.

We offer a unique format allowing teams from Rhode Island to Maine, to compete against one another in their respective homeports. Each vessel weighs properly dressed tuna with their preferred buyer, in hopes of winning additional large cash jackpots. We encourage everyone in New England to accept the challenge of catching the biggest fish!
